TMG (trimethylglycine) or Betaine is a methyl donor that supports healthy homocysteine metabolism and optimal liver function and health.* TMG helps maintain healthy fat metabolism in the liver and maintains SAMe (s-adenosylmethionine) metabolism, an important cofactor for healthy liver function.* Betaine helps maintain homocysteine levels within normal ranges.* TMG, Folic Acid, and Vitamin B12 donate methyl groups for methylation reactions that convert homocysteine to the essential amino acid methionine.* Methylation is important to proper liver function, cellular replication, and detoxification reactions. Impairment of methylation results in elevated levels of homocysteine, which can be a serious health risk. TMG supports circulation, helps to normalize amino acid metabolism, and breaks down fat for removal from the body, which protects the liver from fat deposits.* TMG Liquid provides 500 mg of TMG with Folic acid and Vitamin B12 for optimal effectiveness.
